3.在心上下功夫即是建设心灵品质，而建设心灵品质的关键是明心和净心两个功夫。
所谓明心，就是要持久地深入地明白和体证人生重大秘密和重大真理。人生重大秘密是心中拥有无尽宝藏！人生重大真理是行为作用与反作用！通过持久地深入地明心，才能不断地深层地去除心中的不明。不明是指没有明白和体证人生真相所导致的偏知偏见、错知错见、邪知邪见乃至恶知恶见。
所谓净心，就是在起心动念处净化心灵。观照自己的念头是净化心灵的基础，反省不好的念头是净化心灵的关键，引导自己产生更好的念头是净化心灵的根本。观照、反省、引导，循环往复，主动持续，净化心灵。如此，通过持久地深入地净心，才能不断地深层地去除心中的贪欲，才能断一切恶，行一切善。贪欲是指对自己、他人和社会过度的、不好的欲望。需要指出的是，对美好人生的向往、梦想和追求不是贪欲。
成就一个人就是成就无数人，追随一项伟大事业就是利益无数人；教坏一个人就是教坏无数人，搅局一项伟大事业就是伤害无数人。
3. Working on Xin is the same as building inner character; the key to building inner character is the two practices of enlightening Xin and purifying Xin.
Brightening Xin refers to continuously and deeply understanding and living by the vital secret and the vital truth of life. The vital secret of life is that there are infinite treasures within Xin! The vital truth of life is the law of action and reaction. Only through continuously and deeply enlightening Xin, can ignorance be consistently and deeply removed from Xin. Ignorance refers to the distorted, wrong, wicked and even evil thoughts – the outcome of not understanding or living by the truths of life.
Purifying Xin refers to purifying the heart-mind where thoughts and intentions arise. Observing our thoughts is the foundation of purifying Xin; introspecting upon negative thoughts is the key to purifying Xin; guiding ourselves to generate better thoughts is the root of purifying Xin. Observing, introspecting, and guiding – this is a proactive and reciprocating cycle that consistently purifies Xin. In this way, only through continuously and deeply purifying Xin, can greed constantly and deeply be eradicated from Xin, all evil be removed, and all goodness be practiced. Greed refers to the excessive and negative desires towards ourselves, others and society. It shall be pointed out that the aspirations, dreams, and pursuit of a happy life are not greed.
Helping one person achieve greatness is the same as helping millions, and contributing to one great cause is the same as benefiting countless lives. Corrupting one person is the same as corrupting millions, and jeopardizing one great cause is the same as harming countless lives.

这一段时间一直在持续的读《文化自信与民族复兴》，特别是第二部分关于心-道-德-事四部曲，再次体悟到建设心灵品质的重要性。心体现在起心动念上，而今天反省我每次在起心动念处下功夫时才发现，我所抓住的起心动念都是大的、显而易见的善念或恶念，并且我自以为足够了。但今天反省后发现，闲丝杂虑也是我的私欲，也是恶念，也有一个根在我心中，并且隐藏的很深以至于我这些闲丝杂虑的起心动念浮现时不能及时有效的觉察到。追根溯源，我要时时反省，时时觉察，将这些根寻到、拔起。如此才能更进一步接近阳明先生所说的“寂然不动”，“未发之中”。
